The 6 Fireballs
The 6 Fireballs is a rock'n'roll sextet based in Brno, Czech Republic. Since its start at 2001 (under the name The Fireballs) the group reached the total of a thousand shows in the Czech Republic and all around Europe. Check out the list of musical referencs and selected past shows.
The repertoire involves mainly songs from the classic rock'n'roll era and there is also a wide range of rhythm'n'blues and jump blues numbers. You'll hear the best cuts from Bill Haley, Chuck Berry, Fats Domino, Jerry Lee Lewis, The Jodimars, Louis Jordan, Elvis Presley, The Treniers and others. Moreover, there are some newer, some older and some original songs.
The band is well known for its authentic sound, swing, image and explosive stage show. You'll see also some vintage gear - a collection of 50s microphones, Trixon Speedfire bass drum and a German PA from 1959 including the necessary tape echo.
The line-up is: Petr Pospíšil (upright bass, vocal, bandleader), Pavel Štursa (guitar, vocal), Petr Janovský (tenor sax), Pavel Zlámal (baritone sax), Matěj Fouma (piano, accordion, vocal) and Viktor Martinkovič (drums).
You could have seen The 6 Fireballs for example at Summer Jamboree in Italy, R'n'R & rockabilly Rumble in Rumburk, as support of Jerry Lee Lewis, several times on the Czech TV or at the Boogie ball in Vienna. In 2003 the band released a record called "On Fire", in 2011 the second one called "Pozdě či na knap", in 2017 the last record so far called "6-2-6".
In December 2012 the band was introduced to Czech Rock and Roll hall of fame. It was by more than one generation the youngest group there at the time.
Since 2013 you can see our group also under the name Gone Hepsville. The line-up is the same, but we play our own music only. You could have seen us at festivals like Rhythm Riot, Hep Cats Holiday or Shake That Boogie baby! in England, Hangar Rockin' in Switzerland, The Firebirds festival in Germany and many others. In 2014 we released a record Lotsa Rhythm and in 2018 the record Gimme!, both released on Rhythm Bomb Records.
